First I want to say that my wife and I love this game. However . . . . . .
For a new player it's VERY dangerous on the wallet. I mean that we usually create many characters/classes to see which one we like best. Well, our first characters were ok up to level 20 then we decided to change. We though we liked one enough to level a little higher but we didn't. Then we found the perfect class for us! Woot. We loved the Wizard. Well, in most other mmo's when you purchase items with real money those items are generally "account bound". Not here with Ellens! Now my first character that I was testing and going to delete has over 400 Ellens on it and I cannot do anything with it except throw them away when I delete the character. I completely wasted over a $100 learning the game and now I have to just throw it away? Thats NOT right!
Now the issue at hand . . . . .
I calmed down from the issue in the previous paragraph and tried to buy more Ellens for my main character but cannot. Seems the discounted 100 Ellen pack can ONLY be purchases once. I thought, as in most other games, it was per character. Nope! Per account. SO, I cannot get any Ellens for my main. I've wasted WAY too much money on my "learner" character and cannot afford to throw away more cash. But I purchased the "Icarus-Wayfarer's Package" 4 days ago because it has a 150 Ellen over 10 day accumulation. We are supposed to get 15 Ellens a day over 10 days for a total on 150 Ellens. Well, where are they? 4 days later and I haven't received any from the pack!
I'm really getting disappointed in this game because it's cheating me out of money and I'm still playing like a new player without any nice convenient items. So far I've spent about $150 and received nothing for it. Almost all of it is on a character I'm not playing just waiting to be deleted ( thrown away ).
So, 1) Before I destroy my money, does anyone know how to get my hundreds of Ellens from my trash character to my main? And 2) Anyone know where my Ellens are from the Icarus-Wayfarer's Package I was supposed to receive? I mean, storage and inventory sucks in this game and I can't expand them without Ellens. And it seems that when I spend money, it's completely wasted. I'm just glad I caught myself now after only $150.
To some, $150 isn't a lot of money, but it is when it's just being thrown away and we're not getting anything for it. In a away I feel misled and deceived on the Ellen purchases. A lot of stuff isn't very clear when learning the game. Advise?
