Since the Silver Laiku thread has slowly become a pet tempering question thread which is going to be closed by the end of the day, the community can continue the discussions about pet tempering here.
Known Information for Heroic Pets:
As long as the chance says "High", the outcome has a good chance of success. Below is a guideline for how many minimum type seals are required for Heroic Pets that will provide a high chance of success.
You can start with three elite sealed pets for levels 1 and 2.
Level 3 needs four sealed elites minimum.
Level 4 needs at least one heroic and the rest elites.
Level 5 needs two heroics and the rest elites.
Sealed familiars don't need to be leveled up. Sealing a level 1 familiar is fine.
