I have seen a few issues with people (myself included) having FPS issues when they are moving. For me, these issues happened right after the Badlands update. I have tried several things, including updating drivers, settings all my graphics to low, you name it, i've done it. The problem for me, was, that anytime my character moved my FPS would drop to 10-15 FPS; standing still my frames were 60-80 FPS.
My solution was to delete all of the files in my shader cache folder, and this fixed my problems completely. Now, I am not saying this is a fix for everybody, but it worked for me and it would stand to reason that it would help other people as well.
Step by step instructions:
1. Close Riders of Icarus and the Launcher.
2. Navigate to ../Documents/ICARUS/USER/Shaders/Cache/D3D9/
3. Delete EVERYTHING in this folder.
4. Relaunch Riders
5. The Launcher will download some stuff
6. Play the game
Now, at this point, things will look funny for a bit (presumably until the shaders are cached again) but once this settles out you should have much better FPS while moving.
Again, this worked for me, and I don't guarantee it will work for everyone, but if it works for you, please comment and share with your fellow Riders!
