New Rider Gift Event Is Bugged

I've just created a brand new character so that I can finally get a Silver Laiku. But there's something wrong.

My event calendar is showing the rewards for the 'Special Attendance Event' which starts with a 'Heat Wave Talisman".

I don't want that! I want the 'New Rider Rewards Attendance Event' which starts with a '16 slot bag' and ends with a 'Silver Laiku' on day 7.

I've stopped playing, because I don't want to continue with this character if I can't get the Silver Laiku.

Is there any way to fix this problem? Hopefully without having to delete this character and start again (because I don't want to lose the name).
