Before anything else, I will say I've already submitted to support for this, I'm coming here in the hopes that someone else may have had this issue and/or found a solution to it. I've only seen one other post of a similar problem but it was from quite a while ago, so I'm hoping maybe since then someone has had the issue and found a solution.
Ok - what's happening:
In key bindings and their functionality, the game seems to think I'm playing with a Japanese layout keyboard (ie: [ key on a US keyboard set to Japanese layout in Windows 10 is a @). So, when I hit = on my keyboard, I expect that skill to work, but it doesn't because the game thinks it's jpnkey_prevt (at least that's what it shows if I go into binding and attempt to re-bind)
If I type in chat, the keys respond like a normal US keyboard layout (ie: [ key is a [)
If I exit the game, notepad, keyboard works like it should
Guild Wars, keyboard works like it should
Revelation Online keyboard works like it should
What I was playing on:
Razer Blade w/ Razer Black Widow Chroma Keyboard and Razer Naga Elite (and yes, it's interpreting the keys on the mouse wrong too, so the 12th key on the mouse which is normally = the game (at least for the actions and keybinds) thinks it's jpnkey_prevt. In chat, the = is = and the 12th key on the mouse generates a = in chat)
What I know:
US English / US Keyboard Layout are the only layouts listed in my language and keyboard settings within Windows 10. Even if I turn on the language display icon, press windows+space, etc. the keyboard does not change languages.
What I don't know:
When this happened exactly. I know it was working ok October 30th (last time I remember having to use that key - it's where I keep my health potions and shift+= summons a familiar mount I don't use too often) but the next time I tried this was the 9th when I first experienced the issue.
What I've tried:
Non razer, plain standard US keyboard
Deleting the settings in My Documents for Icarus and tried the Razer Keyboard
Deleting the settings in My Documents for Icarus and tried the plain US Keyboard (technically a dell US keyboard)
Adding the japanese keyboard layout within windows 10, while in game swapping to the japanese keyboard layout (which would change the keys in chat, keybind still thought it was a Japanese layout) and swapping back to the US keyboard layout (keys right in chat, wrong in keybind)
What I'm about to try:
Having the game do a verify from the launcher
Any other thoughts of what I could check? Anyone else have this issue aside from the very old post that might have tried something different or found a solution?
