How to Make a Good Post

Hello there denizens of the Riders of Icarus forum! Today I'd like to talk to you about something that's been bothering me lately - people that can't write.

Have you ever seen a line like this?
NEXON GMs erase my posts when i say EMPTY SERVERS! ill tell it again!... empty servers cause you nexon are worried about your wallet
This is not what we call "good posting". This is what we call "incoherent ranting". What this post will try to do is provide a set of easy-to-follow rules that will separate your post from any raving lunatics that also happen to be on this forum. I can assure you that I, and many others like me, will take you much more seriously if you can actually write like a human.

Tip 1: Learn to use italics, underline, bold, and "quotes".

When you're typing, people cannot here the emphasis you put into words. It is therefore imperative to learn how to properly stress what you're saying, instead of just using caps lock.

Take the following example.
Bad: Guys, I was just walking AND I SAW A FLYING CAR!
Good: Guys, I was just walking and I saw a flying car.

See the difference?

Tip 2: Learn punctuation and when to end sentences.

Sometimes, people can't finish a thought in one sentence. So, like any uneducated person might, they add an ellipse (...) in between their clauses. This is a bad idea. Trust me when I say that people will understand you fine if you end your sentences with periods (.), before calmly moving on to the next one. Commas (,) also work fine, as I'm demonstrating here.

Bad: Nexon is so salty...they don't understand their players...all they want is money.
Good: Nexon is so salty! They don't understand their players, all they want is money!

Tip 3: Learn what to capitalize.

This one is simple. You capitalize names and the first letter of a new sentence.

Bad: i hate nexon so much. they suck.
Good: I hate Nexon so much. They suck.

The rest is some simple stuff. Like knowing when to use "its" instead of "it's". No, they don't mean the same thing.
