By now everyone has formed a pro or against (more or less). What can I say? Many players want some challenge from their games, be that in pvp or just pve.
From my experience:
- pvp is always dominated by the richest player (who has lots of money in game) and/or by coiners (who pay with real money for stuff), there is nothing to do against this, either you just forget about pvp or join them. I know that by now, 90% of players want in Empire just to avoid the big fuzz and do their quests or whatever in Badlands, well, unless they won't expand and allow more players to join, then you won't get in that league.
so what can you do?
- well, you can just forget that pvp exist in this game and do your things as you did before pvp was. Do PvE, make some gold, do daily dungeons and so on.
Mostly the PvP is for the biggest leagues and for the strongest players. They will NEVER - EVER play fair and the hate will be just way above any kind of imagination. At this point, the money invested in the game and the number of allied friends will count, other then that nothing. There will be no pity, the strongest will always bully the weaker just for their fun.
The game engine:
Seeing that this game has a very poor engine, it will be just a matter of time until speed hackers will infest the pvp zone. If the Korean devs will not change the game engine and fix this poor build, then there will be nothing that will stop the hackers. GM's will ask proves, and when they will find proves and will see that Mr. X hacks but he also pay's a lot of money to the game, they will be facing a simple issue: will they ban and lose a good costumer? or will they ignore and just move on.
Overall, PvP in a free to play game will not be balanced, always the strongest league will win and will dominate, the rest of the leagues will just fade out or will try to make a NAP with the strongest.
Personally, I will just ignore the pvp and move on with the game, hoping that they will open another 10 level soon.
PS: As my league friends reported, there is a tremendous lag in the pvp zone, even those who ave good PC are feeling this lag. So, the pvp zone needs at least 3 channels to balance it a little bit and an open aye for hackers (usually the speed hack might cause a small fps drop if they pass by you - many of those pass by you -). Another possible drop down might be the to much visual effects that is created at one point. As i have seen, the game doesn't have any kind of option to totally turn out the visual effects, therefore the lag will increase if there is a crowded spot.
