Hello everyone!
I know that I used to have a lot of trouble getting everywhere I needed to in a reasonably short time frame. However, somewhat paradoxically, the Icarus world is now easier to move around than ever, despite how much larger it is! Here's a quick guide on moving around without having a Premium Transit Shrine pass, or using all your money on Transit Shrine fees.
Basics:
Now, the very first thing you'll want to do is tame a Canniphage from the Lair of Ienos. Canniphage has a skill that transports you directly to the lair - effectively serving as a second recall stone, permanently set to Parna's.
Now, you can set your recall stone's recall location just about anywhere - however, if you ever plan on doing PvP, I would highly recommend setting it in Stygaea or the Badlands.
Advanced:
Once you have that settled, you should be able to go wherever you want in the world at any time.
1. With Canniphage, teleport yourself to Ienos. You can do this from anywhere.
2. Fly over to Reedwatch/Any destination in Parna
3. Talk to the Familiar Trainer (purple icon) there, go to your familiar farm.
4. Leave immediately. You'll be back in Hakain's Crossing. From here, you can easily move to the rest of the world.
Hakanas Highlands: You can go to the Cross-Server dungeon lobby, and choose "15-25" dungeons. Go straight to the Exit Shrine, and choose to leave at whichever dungeon you prefer. Or, you could just fly there through the North or South gate.
Sea of Hakanas: Go to the Cross-Server dungeon lobby, choose "Raid" dungeons. Go straight to the Exit Shrine, leave at whichever you prefer.
Tritael Rift: Go to the Cross-Server dungeon lobby, and choose "35-40" dungeons. Go straight to the Exit Shrine, and choose "The Breach". Or, go up to the Titan Platform, and talk to the guy.
Cloying Wastes: Go to the Cross-Server dungeon lobby, and choose "40-50" dungeons. Go straight to the Exit Shrine, and choose whichever you prefer. Or, go up to the Titan Platform and talk to the guy.
Exharan Badlands: Fly to the portal at the top of Hakain's Crossing.
Stygaea: Fly from the Badlands.
Notes:
- As you can see, there's no easy way to get to Stygaea, so I would recommend setting your recall stone there.
- If you do use this method, there'll be a few times when you'll be flying quite a bit (like from the Lair to Reedwatch). You can go straight to step 3 from most cities, so feel free to set up your actual recall location wherever you want.
- You can always buy warp passes from Ellora's Shop for only 1 Ellun each, under the "Convenience" label.
- If you don't have Canniphage, he's even easier to get now. If you go to the 35-40 dungeons, you can accept Kouslo's daily quest really easily. Then, just turn and go into FK or CoV, Story Mode works fine. Once you're done, if you take the exit shrine you'll be right back in the lobby. Just walk on over to the Ienos portal, and bam, you're good.
