State of the game/My real opinion.

With the odd decisions that were made in the past month and half, such as giving away makrs, making the content way easier, and the recent ones like the disconnections. I want to express my real opinion concerning these things.

Note: I will most likely play riders until Lost ark is out, so don't deduce i am someone who is quiting/quited.

1:The delays.

Back in 30th august nexon announced the next patch will be out by 28th of september. Many members in both my guild, and alliance have expressed that an entire month without new content was a terrible idea given that the game already had nothing to keep them interested further, so the majority of them took a vacation from the game, and decided to comeback when the tribal rift map is added. Some of us still remained for the daily rewards but that was it. After that nexon said the patch moved to 29th. This alteration was minor, and didn't annoy me, and anyone in either our alliance/guild. Again ON 28th of september nexon announced the patch is moved to 5th of october. If i am being honest I don't hate the fact they delayed the patch, instead thumbs up for them if they are going to make the patch any smoother, although i still doubt they can enhance the experience with only six days. What really grinds my gear, is they announced such a drastic change to the schedule in less than 24hrs before the patch was suppose to ht. It came to me as a shock they would do such a thing. Bare in mind that the developers had over a month and a half to work only on tribal rift, and nothing else , so to delay the patch any further is just icing on the cake.


2: The disconnections.

Just to keep this short, the disconnections are severe that even changing channels will get you disconnected, Moreover if i ALT+Tap out of the game for a brief moment i get dced. So i hope these six extra days are being spent in fine tuning the connection, and finding a solid solution for this.


2: The inevitable fact.

So what if Tribal rift is released.? We reach maximum level, get to the new dungeon(s?) repeat it numerous times until we get the desired items. Seal those items by farming the new heroics, and after that what? do world bosses, then what? The fundamental problem with icarus is that it gets repetitive, and redundant real quick. All of the processes aforementioned are what the entirety of this patch is going to be about, and i am positive within three weeks the majority of the player base will be screaming for new content, and by then(going by what we have seen so far since it took the developers over month and half to deliver tribal rift only) they most likely wont' be capable of providing new content. So we are back to where we are now. Unless a miracle occurs and they can publish new content before 28th of october this game will go through this cycle over and over, and each time bleed more and more players. This is why many players before the game went into open beta expressed the game should be released with a cap of 40, and every two months nexon should add something new. This would have prevented the content drought we are witnessing now. To illustrate, let's say a player rushed to lvl 40 with quest gear. That player won't be capable of even doing basic things, such as farming world bosses let alone rondo/other dungeon bosses, so players will have to start eating the content from lower lvls most likely from Cavern h1 and so on. Instead they decided to siring feed us the content releasing it bit by bit.


Conclusion.

Fixing disconnections, and adding new content to me are the priorities both the developer and the publisher should be focusing on. There are bugs in this game, but those are so insignificant.
