Gold Sellers in towns are very annoying as they spam the screen, however nothing beats in combat spam or even out in the world adventuring with

"[Generic Player Name] successfully tamed [Generic High Level Familiar]"
You earn 586 (+97) experience points.
"[Generic Player Name] successfully tamed [Generic High Level Familiar]"
"[Generic Player Name] successfully tamed [Generic High Level Familiar]"
"[Generic Player Name] successfully tamed [Generic High Level Familiar]"
you receive Burning Golem's Heart x1.
"[Generic Player Name] successfully tamed [Generic High Level Familiar]"
"[Generic Player Name] successfully tamed [Generic High Level Familiar]"
You obtain 1 silver 53 copper.
"[Generic Player Name] successfully tamed [Generic High Level Familiar]"
"[Generic Player Name] successfully tamed [Generic High Level Familiar]"
"[Generic Player Name] successfully tamed [Generic High Level Familiar]"
Cooldown in progress.
"[Generic Player Name] successfully tamed [Generic High Level Familiar]"
"[Generic Player Name] successfully tamed [Generic High Level Familiar]"

etc..

This may seem excessive, however anyone who has played knows the truth of this and how, distracting it is. You cannot turn this off in chat settings without removing other important information that is delivered to your chat, so I would ask that a separate taming notification toggle be added to the chat preferences. at first I believed these notifiation were actual individual tames, and thinking that there must be many of these creatures being used as Mounts and Pets around the world. So far I have seen one Garme and one Agnas the Red. The rest after inspecting other Riders are of course for sockets. Rondo is a similar source of annoyance and congratulations to those that receive a Ruinous item from him.

However the thrust of this discussion apart from my own very apparent stance is how do you feel about the entire Server knowing that such Familiars are being tamed so fast they seem to be falling off trees, and that Rondo hands out his family jewels like candy?

Does it annoy you? Do you feel it adds to the game, and if so how, or do you feel it detracts from the uniqueness of such treasures and creatures?

PS: I've never seen a Venomous Caspert but I've certainly heard of them! Do they look like green carpets, or is that just me misreading it because I see the name so much? :P
