Well, it looks like this is as far as I can go!

I've just hit level 35 and entered the Tritael Rift for the first time. All was going well, until I was given several quests that require me to fly higher than 600m. Unfortunately, that's over the maximum limit that my Silver Laiku (my only Heroic mount) can fly. So it looks like I can't continue.

I'm a solo player, so there's no way I can get a better Heroic mount (that's why I made a brand new account, just so I could get the Silver Laiku, cause I knew he'd be the only Heroic mount I'd ever get).

So I'm kinda sad at the moment, I've been doing really well with this character and I'm so proud that I've beaten everything 100% solo. But there's no way I can continue (unless they increase the altitude of the Silver Laiku).

So it looks like my time with Riders of Icarus is up.

Note: This is not a bashing thread, I just wanted to let the 'Powers that Be' know why I've decided to stop playing. It's not because I want to, but because I have to! The game won't let me continue! :-(

So every time my guild lead dced, party lead got transferred to me. I was thinking it was transferred to the oldest player but a guldie who recently made an alt got the lead...
There's been theories about it having to do with names but everything ive seen has been proven false. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe some more theories to test

How many 16 slot bags can a character hold? I have bought one 16 slot bag for a character... and i have all slots full with 5 bags now.

What happens if I buy another 16 slot bag ? Does it give me 6 bags total to carry? I would like to know before I purchase.


Last question is -- when is the last day to collect halloween candy in the event?

Here is how I am feeling about this game now. Elluns is the pay to win currency in game because it is used to temper gear to +20 which gives you an overwhelming advantage over other players in pvp and pve. The cost to temper an item to 20 can cost upwards of 400 elluns. Well that's a 40$ value, for a single item that you are going to be replacing very soon after you start progressing in the new dungeons. 6 slots to temper so your looking at around 240$ if you are a priest or tank or sin then 280$. Now if you are a dps class then you don't really need to temper your gear to +20 you only need to temper your weapon. So that's about 40$ for wiz/bez and 80$ for sins . Grats because dps really save money in this game. Tanks and priest don't get off so easily. As a supporting class in this game it is required to temper your gear to +20 to survive. So 3 dps classes really save a large amount of money that tanks have to spend to be competitive in legendary dungeons. I'm sure that it also pays off in Manastone battles.

So tanks need to aquire something like 2400 elluns to compete while dps can get away with tempering weapon to 20+ only. Priest heals are %based so honestly as a priest it's not required to temper to +20 in any slot.. this is completely unbalanced cost to play and be competitive.

Elluns in game have no realistic way to be obtained in any meaningful quantity and The speed at which this game will suck your elluns away into oblivion do not align with the cost. once you are done with the dungeon 20 time achievements you are on your own. They implemented nx plus so now you can buy it with gold, ok I bought an 80 pack yesterday for 760g, I have 1 ellun left now and my weapon is +14(berserker). so it would cost you 22,800 gold as a tank to have a chance at getting your supreme gear to +20. while as a dps it will cost you 3,800g to temper your weapon only. Tanks are dependent on tempering in all slots while dps not so much they only really need weapon slot. we are getting new gear sets every month... spend your money riders and stay competitive. This is ok? how? tempering insurance is only so you don't lose ranks, and it's expensive insurance that progressively gets more obscene as your gear levels up.

...is completely flawed.
First, but not a big deal, the minigame is kinda pointless, since it's completely based on luck and on familiar's hp. Could have as well not be in game (also, if you redefine WASD keys you *still* have to use WASD to tame).
But I'm talking about the heroic taming, where dozens of people try to "steal" each other the mount.
First, it's frustrating and absolutely unfunny. Second, it favours people with a better ISP, screwing up those with not-so-good bandwidth.
This is horrible design and it's one of the things that are starting to drive me away from the game.

i m agree to pay the male outfit, but i can t buy it because i m a female ???? i must buy the female version, but i dislike to wear a skirt, i want to wear trousers, ....

I think if nexon allow it, nexon will sell more outfit so more NX so earn more money.

hey, i am fairly new to this game and atm Lvl 36 and will do my first story run in the frost keep. I have atm Frozen Gear.
Now my question, should i go and get gear from CoV (somehow i hate this ini) or just try to get the frost keep gear?
Next question is the supreme commander gear i see is LVL 40 so i would think its the best heroic gear possible, but from where i coudl get these items? is there another ini after the frost keep or is it a crafted gear (if so where to get the materials/recipes? )

Would be glad if someone can help me out with my questions ^^

Hey everyone,

As you can see in this thread: http://forums.icarus.nexon.net/discussion/17208/guardians-are-almost-useless-in-pve Guardians are feeling pretty left out at the moment. I thought I'd put this in general chat so it gets a bit more visibility and allows other classes to see the issues that we're having at the moment.

Firstly I'll go through some of the reasons why:

1. Don't bring much to the party when it comes to world bosses. Don't do enough DPS to justify a slot, and don't bring enough utility in terms of buffs/usefulness either.

2. Mounted raids have the same issue. The buff range is so insanely small that you have to be INSIDE me to actually receive it and again I don't do enough dps to justify taking me over any other class. Why take a Guard to Attius or Isle when you can take a zerk/wiz/sin that does FAR more dps or a priest that has buffs/heals and STILL does more mounted damage.

3. Gearing up is by far the hardest on Guardian. A guardian with poor gear simply cannot run harder dungeons, as his/her death will cause the whole party to wipe. With the incredibly ridiculous drop rate in breach on H5, imagine being a new tank that is forced to run H1,2,3 to try and gear up? (I realise breach is a bad example as you don't even need a tank [another issue] but the principle still stands).

The gear check for Guardians for legendary dungeons is way above any other class. This is not to say gearing up on say, a sin, is easy by any means. All I'm saying is that a party can carry a +10 level 40 heroic equipped sin through a legendary dungeon, and that sin can contribute meaningfully. A +10 guardian with level 40 heroics, however, will get obliterated by even trash mobs, not to mention requiring 70% (yes 70, after 30% debuff) CDR to have a hope of holding aggro and being able to block enough attacks to stay alive.

4. The way aggro is generated in this game means that 90% of a Guardians skills will cause them to lose aggro upon using them. A prime example is block. In the time between casting block, blocking a skill and using chain or grasp again, I've lost aggro and the priest just ate an arrow to the face and died. We have several skills that state they 'massively increase threat' but in reality, they simply do not. Our only way of keeping/holding aggro is the constant spam of our chain skill which gives us 3 seconds of guaranteed 100% aggro (unless it misses) and haikans grasp, the aoe chain ability (unless it misses)plus rampart charge I guess, but that's a 20second cd (which can also miss). So, we can't properly dps, we can't utilise our many debuffs and we can't fully destabilise, we're forced to repeat the same 4-5 skills over and over and pray to RNGesus that our aggro skills don't miss because if they do, guess what, the monster just 360 noscoped the sin, now the priest has to res which means they can't heal, I die then RIP.

These are, I feel, the main issues facing the Guardian class at the moment. Now, on to my suggestions for improving the class and making it feel warm and welcome in any group:

1. Make our defensive aoe buff a passive and always on. At the moment, as I'm sure you know, we have 3 active buffs: PHYS, MAGIC and DEFENSE. By making our defensive buff a passive, our utility within the group is massively increased. Giving everyone a +HP +PDEF etc buff while ALSO boosting their dps makes for a compelling reason to take a guardian with you. Perhaps even tweak the buffs so their bonus's are increased, or change depending on other factors, such as the more dps you do, the stronger the buff. Say for instance I hit for 1000 dmg, the buff 'spikes' for 3 seconds and gives everyone an extra 1% attack. This would give guardians a reason to build more dps and groups more reason to take them, without disadvantaging the weaker-geared ones. I'd also like to see them have some additional effects, such as the defense one boosting healing received by the party, or the phys atk one giving a small chance to absorb health. Basically, make the buff skills awesome rather than mediocre so a guardian will always be wanted in a party.

2. INCREASE THE RANGE OF OUR BUFFS WHILE MOUNTED! I feel like this is an easy one to implement. As I stated earlier, the buff range while mounted is TINY, meaning that in a raid with a lot of movement, 99.9% of the time no one is even getting your buff. Simply by increasing the size of the buff, you're greatly helping Guardians be more accepted in raids.

3. Make our skills that say 'generate threat' ACTUALLY GENERATE THREAT. This could be a simple numbers game. Say skill 1 generates 100 'threat'. All you'd have to do is increase that to, say, 500 to make them actually do what they state. No need to increase the dps of the skill, simply increase the amount of threat it generates. EZPZ.

3. Change the way our block skill works. I would like to see it function the same way our chain does: 100% guaranteed threat for 3 seconds. As you can't 'miss' a block on a high level mob, this would give the guardian a bit of breathing room in terms of aggro, and allow us to actually use the skill as it was intended. You could also add some additional functionality to it, for example, a successful block creates an aoe debuff that generates threat, buffs the party with additional HP regen or creates a 'thorny skin' effect so mobs that attack you after a block take damage.

4. I honestly don't have any suggestions for helping with the gear requirement struggle that Guardians have. However, if my changes to threat generation were implemented, this would help greatly. No longer would you need 50% cdr to be viable in a dungeon as, instead of a measly 2 skills giving reliable threat, you've got several to cycle between.

Hidden Countdown Timer?

Is there some hidden countdown timer for dungeons that will throw you out if a member of your party leaves?

I ask because twice now I've had a friend on my team (with me as the part leader) and I went into a dungeon and started killing stuff while waiting on them, and then for whatever reason they decide not to join me and instead leave the team. After both instances (a week or two apart) I continued through the dungeon and then suddenly was thrown out of the dungeon without warning, unable to reenter and with my cool-down timer still going, basically wasting my time and my run.

So is there some hidden timer that does not display but will secretly decide to throw you out of a dungeon, even if you're the party leader, if one of your teammates leaves before the dungeon is complete? Cause that is what it seems like and if so that is a rather silly feature... -.-

Monsters In The Badlands Have Insane Health! Why?

Over the last couple of days, I've been questing in The Rift and it's really horrible. I needed a break.

So I thought I'd go and check out the Badlands. Maybe the quests there would be better.

It was late at night, so there was nobody there. Brilliant! I don't have to worry about being killed.

But what the heck? The monsters in this zone have insane health! It takes a week to kill anything! Why for heaven's sake?

Is this some kind of bug? Or do they just not want anybody in the Badlands?
